Germania wins the newsquiz Champagne

Trainees Danielle Zoellner, Marlene Lenthang, Kayla Brantley, Germania Rodriguez (with the Champagne), Mollie Cahillane, Megan Sheets, Chloe Castleberry and Maggie O'Neill

I said farewell to the DailyMail.com trainees in New York today. They spent much of the week preparing for their placements in Dublin and Glasgow and had talks from Sheila Flynn, Anna Hopkins and Mary Kekatos. They pitched some good stories too, some of which should be published soon. They have had five stories published so far. Maggie O'Neill won the best showbiz headline of the week. Good luck to them all on the next stage. They will have seven days learning the system with Nick Enoch before spending some time in the newsroom. Then they head over the Atlantic for work experience. They are a bright and enthusiastic bunch and I look forward to following their inevitable success.
As always, we finished with the newsquiz. Runaway leader Germania Rodriguez was this week's top scorer again with 16 points, just beating Mollie Cahillane on 15 and Danielle Zoellner on 14. Germania was overall winner over the four weeks, an impressive seven points ahead of second placed Mollie, and collected her prize, a bottle of Champagne. Here's this week's quiz. See if you can beat Germania's score.
