The trainees with some of the pages they created this week |
The Daily Mail's trainee sub-editors and sports journalists had a change of pace this week. They spent three days developing their InDesign, Photoshop and layout skills with Mike Brough. And yesterday and today the sports journalists worked on the sports desk. Isaan Khan went to the Tottenham Hotspur press conference and his article was published online. You can read it here.
Lewis Steele was at Manuel Pellegrini's press conference today ahead of West Ham's game against Manchester United on Sunday. The sub-editors spent the last two days doing features with Fiona Webster. As usual we finished the week with the newsquiz and the top score was Becca McAuley with an impressive 20.
The top solo scorer in last week's quiz was Carson Black, narrowly ahead of trainees Lewis and Kumail Jaffer on 17.5. The top team was Adam Batstone and his Lake District walking pals with 18. Here is this week's quiz. As usual there are 25 questions about the week. Give it a go and see if you can beat Becca's score.
