Farewell for now to the New York trainees

DailyMail.com trainees in the New York office

I said goodbye to the DailyMail.com American trainees and to New York this afternoon. The trainees had a good final week with sessions by video editor Audrey Gruben, former trainees Kelly McLaughlin and Annabel Grossman, social media editor Chris Lawrence and editorial manager Andy Abrahams. Trainee Amanda Ulrich had an exclusive story, about live hermit crabs having their shells cracked open to become souvenirs, published on the site. Well done to her. You can read it here

The trainees have another week in New York and I will catch up with them at the beginning of August when they continue their training at the Mail's London offices. As usual we finished with the newsquiz. This week's winner was Mary Kekatos with 13.5, narrowly beating Zara Rubin on 13. See if you can do any better.
