Trainee Archie wins the newsquiz

I spent this week at the Daily Mail offices in London with 16 trainee journalists. They had a busy week, writing and editing articles and looking for news stories. There were sessions by managing editor Alex Bannister, news-editor Sam Marsden, assistant chief sub David Feldstein and former trainee Eleanor Sharples. As usual, we finished the week with the newsquiz. Archie Mitchell, with an impressive 22, was top scorer and won a lottery scratchcard. Other good scores came from Alex Jennings on 20, Sam Merriman and Henry Jones who both scored 19 and Elliot Mulligan with 18.5. A scratchcard also went to Alex Ross for the best intro of the week. The top solo scorer in last week’s quiz was Janet Boyle with a score of 20. The top team was Simon, Sue and Will Cole with 23, narrowly ahead of the Roberts Family on 22.5. Phil and Maura Parsons scored 21 and Three Legs brewery drinkers Peter and Stacey scored 19. Here is this week’s quiz. As usual there are 25 questions about the week’s events. Give it a go and see if you can beat Archie’s score
