Daisy wins the newsquiz champagne

The Mail’s trainee subs enjoyed their final week of training before heading off to placements at the Daily Mail in Glasgow, the i paper and Metro. They did feature subbing with Fiona Webster on Monday and then had three days creating pages on InDesign and Photoshop with Mike Brough

Daisy Outram was published on the Mail website with a story she pitched and wrote about the 50th anniversary of the first British mountaineers to climb Everest. Read it here.

Last night we enjoyed farewell drinks at the Greyhound and today we wrapped up with the newsquiz. The winner was Daisy with a score of 16. It was the fourth week in a row that she got the top score so she collected the champagne.
The trainees are a bright and likeable bunch who will undoubtedly do well. I wish them all the best of luck.
