The newsquiz: Can you beat Chris's score?

I enjoyed a welcome return to the coalface in Kensington this week to work with seven MailOnline trainees. They had a good first week with sessions by editor Danny Groom, assistant managing editor Natalie Glanville, chief foreign reporter Chris Pleasance and former trainee Georgia Simcox. We covered style, intros, headlines and Natalie Johnson gave them guidance on SEO. The winners of the best intro of the week were Elmira Tanatarova and Chris Matthews and the winner of the best headline was also Chris. Head of exclusives Dan Sanderson spoke to them about the types of stories MailOnline is interested in and where to find them. They will each be pitching three story ideas to him next week. This morning another former trainee, Harry Howard, talked to them about how his role as a history specialist developed. We also did the newsquiz. It was won by Chris Matthews with 17 ahead of Lizzie May on 15. There were some very good scores posted online last week. The top solo scorer was Sam Neve with a massive 24, ahead of Amanda Kitson and Liz Gerard who scored 22. Dominic Hurst and Gavin Devine both scored 21, Blaise Tapp and Toby Brown 19, Cormac Connelly-Smith 18, Jayme Bryla 17 and Ed Mortimer 16. The top team was Simon, Sue and Will Cole who scored an impressive 24.5, just ahead of the Roberts Family on 24, Nicky, Les, Peter and Stacey scored 22.5, Maura and Phil Parsons and Team Swindle both got 21, Adam Batstone and Lucy Thorpe 20 and Bruce and Sarah Hayward 18. Here is this week's quiz. As usual there are 25 questions about the week's main news stories. Give it a go and let me know your score.
