Time to tackle the newsquiz

The top solo scorer in last week’s newsquiz was George Mann with 23, just ahead of Janet Boyle, Penny Dawson, Robert Rea and Marion Fountayne all on 22, the Rev Leon and Kirsty Lewis on 20 and Jaymes Bryla on 18. The top team was Tim Humphrey and the Globals Newsroom who scored a maximum 25. Well done to them. The FOC away day scored 23, Adam Batstone and Lucy Thorpe 22 and the Broad Oak Boozers including Tim, Thom, Craig, Danny, Anna, Dale, George and Taylor scored 21 as did Bruce and Sarah Hayward. I spent the week working with two young journalists at The i Paper in London. Anjola Fashawe and Matthew Bailey spent the week writing stories, intros and pitching ideas to the newsdesk. They start in the newsroom on Monday. We finished the week with the newsquiz with Matthew collecting a scratchcard for the highest score.
