Have a crack at the newsquiz

Anjola and Matthew at the i offices

I spent the week working with two young journalists at The i Paper in London. Anjola Fashawe and Matthew Bailey spent the week writing stories, intros and pitching ideas to the newsdesk. They start in the newsroom on Monday. We finished the week with the newsquiz with Matthew collecting a scratchcard for the highest score. The top solo scorer in last week’s newsquiz was Janet Boyle with 23, ahead of Robert Rea and George Mann on 21, ahead of the Rev Leon on 20, Andy Reed and Tim Humphrey on 19, Adam Batstone on 17 and Ted Ditchburn on 16. The top team was Maura and Phil Parsons with Alexandra, Libby and Will who scored 22, ahead of the Smith Posse (Carole, Trev, David, Gilly, Oliver, Annabel and Tom) on 20, the Broad Oak Boozers Thom, Craig, George and Tim on 19, Lucy Thorpe and the Rincรณn Massive in Spain on 18 and Nicky and Les on 16. Here is this week’s newsquiz. As usual there are 25 questions about the last seven days. Why not give it a go and let me know your score.
