Time to tackle the newsquiz

There were two maximum scores in last week’s newsquiz - the top solo player and the top team both getting a hugely impressive 25. The top solo player with 25 was George Mann, ahead of Janet Boyle on 22, Bella on 21, Robert Rea on 20.5 and Ian McCulloch on 16. The top team, also on 25, was the Barnard Castle FOC of Bill, Sue, Trevor, Carole, Our Peter and Jackie. The King’s Head drinkers of Nicky, Les, Kevin, Amanda and Peter scored 21, Nick Turner and Georgina Harland 19.5, Adam Batstone and Lucy Thorpe 18.5 and the Port Camargue quizzers of Danny, Sam and Thom 17.
