I have just finished an enjoyable first week with six DailyMail.com trainees in New York. They covered a lot of ground, wrote stories in style and had sessions from managing editors Danielle Ray, Nicole Lewis and Caitlin Mckenzie. They also had a talk from head of health and science Connor Boyd and will be pitching stories to him next week. And Martha Williams decided not to wait until next week to pitch her health story to Connor as it was time-sensitive. She wrote a tale about the first restaurant in America to serve man-made chicken which gained a good show on today's home page. Read it here.
